TOURISM

Not All Those Wander Are Lost.

While tourism is simply the act of spending time away from home for relaxation and recreational purposes, it is much broader than what words can string together.

To truly understand tourism, you have to be a part of it. It is more than just visiting other places, it is an experience, an immersive unforgettable one.

There is a whole world outside your couch.

Television programs cannot do it justice, neither can newspaper or magazines.

Those who tour the world are in search of something more than they’re used to. They feel the need to be a part of another world, another culture and enrich their minds and souls.

There are so many things we do not know as humans because we are enclosed and content with where we are. Some things you may discover will be interesting, others may be bizarre and some others may even be weird.

For instance, did you know that it is literally illegal to run out of gas in Germany? Or that you cannot wear T-shirts that have Winnie the Pooh images in Poland.

Did you know that if you do not kiss strangers you meet in France, Italy or some parts of Spain, you’d be considered rude?

This vantage point of life and culture is something only tourism gives.

In Canada, the unity and support for their fellow country-men is so much that radio stations MUST play songs of Canadian artistes or risk being sanctioned.

These are just tips of the icebergs.

Tourism is life.
